FW Shows and Broken Goblet present Relapse Records recording artists 16 with support from False Gods, New Dawn Fades, and High Leaf.
16 is an American sludge metal band from Southern California and released their latest effort and ninth LP, Into Dust, on Relapse Records in 2022. 30 years after their debut, 16 feels as punishing as ever and geographical isolation has allowed the band to meld 90s alt rock into their sound different than other contemporary sludge bands from New Orleans and the American South.
New York’s False Gods are known for their unique blend of sludge/doom metal mixed with melodic noise and down-trodden hardcore. Their 2022 release Neurotopia is a well developed mix of traditional sludge metal and New York City hardcore, both gritty and a bit confrontational with their approach, but heavy while not being oppressive.
Philadelphia’s New Dawn Fades and High Leaf bring their Psych and Stoner riff metal along for the ride.
