SUMMARY:MUSTARD PLUG & CATCH 22
DESCRIPTION:FW Shows and Broken Goblet present Mustard Plug and Catch 22 with The Iron Roses and The Manipulators! \nVeteran ska-punk outfit Mustard Plug return to Broken Goblet in support of their latest release Where Did All My Friends Go? on Bad Time Records. Formed in Grand Rapids\, Michigan in 1991\, The Plug is known for their high-energy live shows and ability to meld ska\, punk\, and reggae influences with pop harmonies and catchy horn lines. Considered one of the pioneers of the ska-punk scene in the United States\, their music often features poignant lyrics that deal with social commentary and takes on modern day life. \nFrom the swamps of New Jersey\, Catch 22 emerged in 1996 with their own brand of ska-punk featuring ska\, punk\, and hardcore influences to create their unique sound. While the band hasn’t released a new full-length release since 2006\, recent activity and touring may just be leading to the release of new music sometime soon. In the meantime\, records like Keasby Nights and Alone in a Crowd are essential\, must have ska-punk releases. \nFormed and fronted by Boy Sets Fire’s Nathan Gray\, The Iron Roses are a departure from Gray’s previous output and meld catchy\, driving punk and ska into inspiring anthemic protest songs. \nPhilly’s The Manipulators bring the ruckus with their first full-length release Natural Disaster and will no doubt get the party started right. \nDoors 6:30 PM\, Must be 18+ to Enter\, Advance Tickets $22\, Day of Show $27.
